Next Week

Next week, is the last week of school. I just wanted to prepare you that a lot of materials will be coming home next week. These are for you and the children to keep.  Remember that the children are not to bring anything home with them on Friday, the last day of school. Thank you again for a wonderful year!

Thursday, May 20th

Next Thursday, we're having our End of the Year PARTY! We have had a fantastic year and we need to celebrate. Please allow the children to bring a towel since we will eat lunch outside.  We will be having the actual party from 11:20 - 12:20 p.m. I wanted to thank everyone for a wonderful year!

Next Thursday and Friday

I have just learned that the last 2 days of school will be Early Release Days and the children will leave at 1:30 both days. I just got the news and I am letting you know right away since that change may impact your plans for the last week of school. Please let me know if you have any questions. 

Self- Addressed Envelope with 2 stamps

Please send in 1 self- addressed envelope with 2 stamps. These envelopes are for the last report cards to be sent home. Thank you~

CRCT

CRCT is here! Please have your child get a good night sleep and have them eat breakfast. It's so important that they have ample rest and a full tummy. This will help them to focus and do their personal best. I sent a letter home today asking for an encouragement note to be sent in for your child. They will be able to read it every morning before they begin the test. Any words of encouragement will do. Lastly, we will be doing a daily snack during the break while we are testing. If you are able to donate snack, please make sure that it is enough for 18 students since we are going to share. Thank you so much for helping to make the CRCT a success for your child!

STICKER RELAY IS HERE!

All week you can buy stickers before the announcements for $.25. The class with the most stickers wins an ICE CREAM Party! Let's bring in our money to purchase stickers for a great cause. All the proceeds benefit Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society!

Hat Day

We will be having Hat day on Friday, March 26th. Remember its $.50 to wear a hat, $.50 for a Tootsie Pop, $.50 for a pencil and $2.00 for a bracelet. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society!

CRCT Prep and Practice

CRCT practice in the classroom:

1. test taking strategies

2. key vocabulary words

3. reviewing previously taught standards

CRCT review does not mean sitting around completing test packets. We have been practing with games, partner activities, Smart Board lessons, and iRespond questions.

Remember to return the CRCT practice packets back to school that you've been practicing  at home.   This will help me keep track of the tests for our class incentive!

Our mile run is schedule for Friday, March 26th! Remember your tennis shoes and bring an extra water bottle with you to stay hydrated.
