About your teacher

My name is Trecie Wiggins.  I have been a teacher for 18 years, all in Cobb county.  I taught first grade for 7 years before transferring to kindergarten where I stayed for 9 years, and am now loving every minute of second grade.  I live in the Kennesaw area with my husband, 2 children and many pets.  We have 3 dogs, and 2 cats.  My children are 11 and 14.  Jacob is 14 years old and attends Awtrey Middle School, his sister Ashleigh is 11 and she also attends Awtrey Middle School.  I love living and working in my Kennesaw community.

Welcome to Second Grade!  What a journey we will take.  I hope you and your child are as excited about this as I am.  We will spend 180 days involved in so many learning opportunities.  You will see your child grow so much.  My hope is that all the children become responsible and self motivated learners this year.  These are life skills that will help the children forever!  Hold on for this wonderful, and exciting ride!
