Please make sure you are practicing math facts at home. Almost everyone has passed the addition timed test. We have one person in our class who has mastered all the addition and subtraction facts and is working on multiplication. Three people have mastered addition and subtraction and are working on mixed addition and subtraction. I would like for everyone to have mastered both addition and subtraction facts by the end of the year.
Please continue working with your child on counting money. They need to be able to identify each coin by its name, how much it is worth, and to be able to count bills and coins. They also need to be able to count back change. Using real coins can make a difference.
