Thank you all for a wonderful year!  I don't remember a more supportive group of parents.  I hope everyone has a fun, relaxing summer break.  I will miss you all so much!  Good luck next year in 3rd grade.

Last Week of School

Please check your child's bookbag daily.  He will be bringing home many items this next week.    Remember, no bookbags or lunchboxes on Friday.   Send in a disposable lunch bag if your child is bringing his lunch.

Next Week's Plays

We are working hard practicing our plays.  We hope each of our parents will get a chance to see our performance.  Thanks for helping your child learn their part.  Many of the students have already memorized all of their lines.  Remember, narrators do not need to memorize their lines but they do need to be able to read them smoothly.  Please practice at home.

Here is our schedule for play practice next week:

Monday and Tuesday  Practice with props and costumes if possible

Wednesday  Dress rehearsals  9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.  (Parents are invited on Wednesday if you have a conflict with Thursday)

Thursday:  11:30 Performance and end of the year celebration    Please have your child bring in their favorite cookie or simple dessert.   (Check for the note in their bookbag)

End of the Year Celebration

Our play performance and our end of the year celebration will be combined.  We will perform our plays then enjoy refreshments with our friends and family.  I'm asking each child to bring in their favorite cookie or simple dessert.  I will provide drinks and paper products.  Look for a note later in the week.   

Report Cards

If you didn't get a chance to do so earlier this spring, please send in your two stamps so I can mail your child's final report card.   I will send a reminder home this week  if you are still missing the stamps.  If you don't receive a note, then you're all set.

Upcoming Performance

I hope everyone received the note about our upcoming plays.  I sent it home last Wednesday.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  We will be practicing our plays this week as well as the beginning of next week.  We will perform the plays on Thursday, May 21st, at 11:30 a.m.  I'm hoping most of our parents will be able to come by for a few minutes.  We will also perform on Wednesday morning as well.  I'll send a note about the exact times before the end of the week.   

Field Day

Field Day is Thursday, May 7th.  We will head outside right after announcements.  Please be sure to have your son/daughter to school on time.  His/her team will be depending on them.

Please ask your child what team they are on.  Try to wear that color shirt for our activities.  I will attach the team list below.
