Early Intervention Prevention
Children start school at a designated chronological age, but differ greatly in their individual development and experience base. The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is designed to serve students with identified developmental differences which may prohibit children in maintaining a level of performance consistent with expectations for their respective ages. The purpose of the Early Intervention Program is to provide additional instructional resources to academically support children in obtaining and maintaining grade level performance in their early school years. The EIP Services are provided by a state certified teacher that comes into the classroom and/or pulls small groups of children to work with on a daily basis. The Early Intervention Program has proven to be a positive experience for both students and parents.
Currently there are five certified EIP teachers at Kennesaw, Mrs. Adele Alexander (second), Mrs. Susan Deuchar (first), Mrs. Amy Daugherty (Kindergarten), Mrs. Jackie Brooks (Kindergarten) and Mrs. Delane Bickelhaupt. Please feel free to contact us at our emails listed below.
